exporting rebus solutions; multiple solutions on page

Postby Ed S » Tue Sep 18, 2007 6:43 pm

Thanks for addressing these two questions:
1. I cannot get rebus puzzles (two letters in a box) to show in either printed solutions or in printer ready files for publication, just blank squares
2. Is there a way to export solutions so as to be able to prepare for printing 6 solutions to a page, much like done in published works where the solution pages contain 6 puzzle squares filled in
thanks

Uncheck the "rebus" option in Square Properties if you do not have a picture to use as the Rebus. The multi-letter solution should then show.

You can export solution grids in various formats (Export on the File menu). You could then arrange these as you like using a publishing program.

I would like to create a rebus puzzle with multiple letters in a single square. Using "Square properties" and with "rebus" option unchecked, I then insert the multiple letters into the "Display letter(s)" entry field. The multiple letters then appear in a single square when editing the grid, but unfortunately they don't appear in the "Review / edit clues" form, nor in the printout of clues and answers. In the latter cases only a single letter appears. Please advise, thx.

You can edit the solution word in the clue editor - just open the relevant clue in the clue editor and change it as required.
