Sometimes when making barred puzzles, a slightly misplaced cursor click in a perimeter cell results in a bar appearing on the perimeter itself, rather than parallel to it on the other side of the cell.

I can't seem to re-click it to get rid of it. Any help?

It shouldn't let you place a bar anywhere that you can't undo just by clicking again. Do you have a reproducible way to add a bar to the edge of a puzzle?

Hi Anthony.

Not sure how to post a pic here so I've uploaded to a blind page on my website:
http://www.ukpuzzle.com/012fault.jpg
The top row forms part of a message in the grid which starts THERE IS A CITY... Above the T of CITY you can see a thickening of the grid border. This is where a misplaced click (intended to add a bar) seems to have placed one on top of the cell instead of below. I can't find a way of removing it.
I've accidentally done this in a couple of similar puzzles - horizontal and vertical bars - with the same result; I can't undo the mistake.

Thanks for the sample, I see what you mean. What I haven't yet been able to do is find a replicable way to add bars to the edge of the puzzle - can you reproduce it?

As in, the fault seems to disappear once the repairman arrives.

Well, no, not exactly. I can't seem to reproduce this in anything other than the sample puzzle shown, or in one of its same-template sisters.

The original puzzle was set some time ago so I'm not sure if I based it on the barred puzzle template; it may mave been a blocked grid (in which it's still possible to insert bars).
