I installed the Crossword 8 compiler on my E: drive and it works fine. However when I try to install the Professional Grid Filler, I get the following error message: "Crossword Compiler 8 must be installed before installing the Professional Grid Filler."

Is the Professional Grid Filler looking on my C: drive for the Crossword Compiler?

I am running Windows XP with all updates and do not log on as administrator. I ran the Professional Grid program as administrator.

Please advise.

I fixed the problem. I uninstalled the Crossword 8 compiler and then reinstalled it as administrator (on the E: drive as before). After that I was able to install the Professional Grid Filler. Must have something to do with the registry.
